The Traveler: Foldable weaving frame with carrying bag

Create your own unique fabrics with this easy-to-transport weaving loom. This compact and lightweight frame is equipped with comfortable handwheels and sturdy 40-tooth nylon gears. The locking hooks secure the position during weaving, but also during transport. The loom is foldable - you can even fold it up with the weaving work in progress on it.

Thanks to the double reed holder, it is possible to work with two reeds. A stand is available as an option, as are additional reeds. The carrying bag is already included in the delivery and underlines the mobile nature of the loom.

Webrahmen für Webkurse

Ich biete Webkurse an, und der Ahsford Knitters ist für mich und meine Teilnehmer das beste Modell. Das Gesamtpaket ist einfach unschlagbar: Mit einer Webbreite von 50cm lassen sich auch größere Projetke wie Handtücher oder Kissenbezüge umsetzen. Zudem kann man den Webrahmen mitsamt dem begonnenen Stück zusammenfalten und problemlos verstauen oder transportieren.Die passende Tasche ist sogar bereits im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Preislich ist der Kromski Presto natürlich eine attraktivere Alternative. Die Wahl zwischen diesen beiden Modellen ist letztlich Geschmackssache, aber ich bin sehr glücklich, meinen Teilnehmern den Ashford Knitters Loom empfehlen zu können.

Der einzige wehmutstropfen ist, dass Ashford Produkte regelmäßig längere Lieferzeiten haben. Gerade bei Webkursen sollte man sicherheitshalber 3-4 Wochen vor dem Kurs alle Bestellungen platziert haben, um nicht ins Risiko zu gehen, dass am Tag des Kurses ein Rahmen noch nicht angekommen ist. Hier der Tipp für andere Webkursleiter: Kurzfristig (weniger als 1 Woche) klappt mit Kromski am besten. Glimakra Modelle und auch Louet Modelle habe ich auch schon längere Wartezeiten erlebt.

Webrahmen ist angekommen. Konnte ich bisher aber noch nicht aufbauen. Hoffentlich am nächsten Wochenenden. Deswegen erstmal nur 4 Sterne. LG
