The yarn winder (also called umbrella swift) from Glimåkra is an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to wind yarn strands efficiently. Made from high-quality birch wood, it has an elegant appearance and a smooth surface that protects the yarn.
The winch is available in two sizes. The small size holds strands up to a circumference of approx. 180 cm (72 inches), while the large model holds strands up to 250 cm (100 inches). Thanks to its infinitely adjustable nature and easy attachment to the table top using a sturdy wooden clamping screw, it can be easily set to the desired tension. The winch can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, which makes unwinding - especially fine threads - much easier.
When folded, the reel measures a compact length of 66 cm and only a few centimeters wide, making it ideal for space-saving storage.
